The Merry Light Parade

Description

REGISTRATION is required. 

The Merry Light Parade will start at the carnival entrance at the Fairgrounds, travel east on Park St. then south on N. Broadway St. Ending at W. Bridge St.

Participants can start lining up in the carnival area of the Fairgrounds at 4:30pm. Use the carnival entrance

Participants must have lights on the vehicles and floats.

No items including candy may be thrown during the parade for safety reasons 

 No Santas are allowed in the parade

 For ATVs and UTVs/ side-by-sides, Idaho Code states that anyone under the age of 18 must wear a helmet when operating them on a public road. Anyone under 18 on an ATV or motorcycle will have to wear a helmet.

 For UTVs/side-by-sides, Idaho's code changed it to require anyone under 16 years of age to wear a helmet. 

For the purpose of this event, UTVs/side-by-side riders under 16 may do so without a helmet if they are buckled in a seat and the UTV/side-by-side has a roll cage.

No drivers under the age of 16

 Vehicles and UTVs with the appropriate licenses, making them street legal can turn west on to Bridge St at the end of the parade route.

Non-street legal vehicles (ATVs and Fourwheelers) must turn into the parking lot located next to Lookout Credit Union and wait there until the parade ends. Once the parade has ended riders may return to the Fairgrounds via N Broadway St.

Parade participants can start lining up at 4:30pm.

Use the entrance on the corner of Park St to enter the carnival area.

The Parade will start promptly at 6pm with a Blackfoot Police Department vehicle leading the parade.

Please have floats ready by 5:45.
